Zedleriana

The Zedleriana are an external, complementary site (in German language only), bringing together information about Zedler's encyclopaedia and its formation. It contains, for example, biographical information on the main lexicon editors and on production and printing of the lexicon. A section is dedicated to brief characterizations of selected lexicon posts. The last part is devoted to the literature on Zedler and to reviews of important literature as well as three introductory articles.
The site emerged from an exercise which took place at the University of Essen under the direction of Dr. Jutta Nowosadtko in 2001.
